Day 4-Jillians 3rd Birthday!!!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY TO MY BABY GIRL!!!!

Here's a little collection of photos of jillian

Shes our little miracle baby and shes so sweet, loving, happy, energetic and CRAZY! Shes the best thing that could have come into our lives and im so grateful that I get to be her mom!

I asked jillian what she wanted for breakfast this morning and she told me that she wanted eggs. She then proceeded to open up the fridge and realised there was also strawberries in there. so she took the strawberries out and gave them to me and as i was cutting them and as they hit the bowl she quickly snatched them up to eat them. She LOVES to help mommy in the kitchen and even has little stool she stands on.

             Jillian's Breakfast                                                               My breakfast

Workout: It was really hard for me to be motivated today, one because I wanted to play and love on my baby girl because it was her special day and two because I was having a lot of extreme pain in my back. It wasnt because of the workouts but often happens when I get out of bed too fast. Sometimes I wake up paralyzed and in extreme pain, without any signs or warnings. That's part of the reason I want to get better and get off my meds. But anyways, I pushed through what was supposed to be an easy day of cardio recovery and wen to the pool to cool off and go swimming. Its one of Jillians fav activities!

Food:
Breakfast: Yogurt, blueberries and granola(I think I put too much granola but oh well)
Snacks: Strawberries and carrots
Lunch: Protein Shake(6oz vanilla almond milk and 1 scoop protein powder)
Dinner: Chicken, Broccolini, and roasted red potatoes-We celebrated jillians birthday at the Macaroni Grill and I ate way too much!!!!!

We got to "Facetime" Grandma at dinner and open up the presents she sent out in the mail. Here's some pictures at dinner and when we opened up the rest of the presents at home.

This was the best photo we could get. She was moving around too much!

 Sitting pretty!
The little dinosaur is a night light she can hold and it changes all different colors!

Anyways, thanks for sharing this most special day with us! Love you all!!!

Day 3-Working With What I Got

So im so excited to see yall reading my blog and giving me all the advice it really helps me. Im not perfect and im making baby steps and working at my own pace to make my life-style change. I know a lot of different types of foods and healthier choices but like I said im taking baby steps that will eventually push me towards healthier options. Im also a REALLY picky eater so the foods im eating are already stepping out of my comfort level and limiting my choices. The main thing im doing with my diet is Portion Control. I have ALWAYS had "bigger eyes than my stomach" so portion control and what i should be eating vs. what i want to eat is a big thing. Im also trying to stray away from sweets which is a BIG thing. I get a lot of cravings at night so im trying to come up with different things that will subside those cravings (fruits in the freezer, yogurt in the freezer, etc.) My husband has been working late this week and hasnt been able to get to the store lately so im working with what ive already got at home. Im hoping to get a "purge" blog out soon but for now it will have to wait for another day. And a little tid-bit about our family-TOMORROW is Jills 3rd BIRTHDAY!!!!! YAY!!!! Where has the time gone?

38 weeks-couple days before my water broke!

Workout: Power Cardio and Resistance.

Food:

Breakfast: yogurt
snacks: Celery sticks and peanut butter
Lunch: Protein Shake(6oz Vanilla almond milk with 1 scoop Protein powder)
Dinner: Same as last night

Day 2-Breaking in the New Shoes!

WARNING THIS PAGE CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES!!!!
K, Ya'll have been warned...

So I guess I didn't remember that with working out comes other things like sore muscles, cramps, and most of all BLISTERS!!! I don't think it helped the soles of my feet at all by walking on the flaming hot pavement to go to the pool too but I ended up getting blisters! So I did what any other SANE person would do and poked it with a needle and let the liquid drain out of it! After the liquid was drained, I had put a band-aid on it and began doing the dishes and vacuuming before my workout. As I stood and moved my feet it felt like I was slipping on water so I took another look at my blister and realized that poking the holes to drain the blister had made air pockets in there. The skin between the layers of skin had separated like I was shedding skin, so AGAIN, like any SANE person would do I cut it lol. So now the old skin can come off and the new skin underneath can heal and push the old dead skin off. I obviously serialized my equipment and it felt way better after I did it and it was like cutting calluses it didnt hurt at all.

Please excuse my heavily callused foot, I don't often wear shoes :)

WORKOUT: Plyometric Cardio Circuit-I may have not done all the exercises but I never hit Pause!

FOOD:

Breakfast: Again None lol
Snacks: Celery, Cheese Stick
Lunch: Protein Shake (12oz Vanilla Almond Milk and 1 Scoop Chocolate Protein Powder)
Dinner: Barley(Made in rice cooker with 2 cups low-sodium chicken stock and 2 cups water for 2 cups Dry Barley grain) mixed with Black Beans, Corn, Celery, White and Green Onions. Seasoned with Garlic powder and Lawry's Seasoned salt.

Day 1-It's Only Just Begun!

Day 1

Today was more about testing my abilities and using it as a stepping stone to judge how far I've come. Each of the exercises were done within 1min increments in a 30min time period with both a warm-up and cool-down. I Found the Exercises REALLY hard with an almost 3-Year-Old-Toddler getting in my way and climbing all over me. So if you have any suggestions feel free to pass them along. I Know my numbers may not be great but its a start right?

FIT TEST 1:
  1. Switch Kicks-81 Kicks(they might not have been high but i did kick every time!)
  2. Power Jacks-19
  3. Power Knees-53
  4. Power Jumps-11
  5. Globe Jumps-6 Jumps(so 1 1/2 sets)
  6. Suicide Jumps-6
  7. Push-Up Jacks-7
  8. Low Plank Oblique-23
As you can tell I really don't like jumping but at least I did more than 1 move!

FOOD: (We Haven't Been to the store yet)

Water:  4 Water Bottles(I need to buy a big cup that like tells me how many ounces)

Breakfast: So I really don't like eating breakfast and i'm sure the more I exercise I do, the better at eating before my workouts ill be. But for now, I dont feel like throwing up during my workouts! lol

Lunch: Protein Shake(12oz Vanilla Almond Milk with 2 scoops)

Snacks: Cheese Stick, Yogurt

Dinner: Baked Chicken(Marinated in creamy tomatillo ranch sauce) and sushi rice with rice seasoning(Furikake-Seaweed, eggs, etc) I wish we had some fresh fruit and veggies but we still need to go to the store.

Anyways, thanks for reading and hopefully I wont get a sweet-tooth in the middle of the night :)

Motivate Me to Lose 100Lbs or More!!!

"Motivate Me"

So I realized that I haven't blogged in quite a long time and decided to give y'all the heads up on the route I will be taking my blog for the next Phase of my life. I feel like if I don't Blog about changing my life that it will never change. So if I Blog about what i'm doing each day/week I will be more committed to making changes within my life and sharing my journey with you. My life I feel has been pretty private, even sometimes with my family. I don't want to go too much into details of the trials I've gone through in my life but due to health issues and dealing with daily depression, my weight has skyrocketed into the 250 pound range. That was VERY hard for me to admit just now! But my body has recovered enough to where my Doctor has approved me to start exercising as long as my heart can withstand it. My End Term Goal is to be off my Medications, Happy, Healthy and to bring a healthy baby into this world! I have a Long Journey to go and it may take a couple years but I ask for your help to, "Motivate Me," to get to my End Term Goals.

What does "Motivate Me" mean, you ask?

Good Question: "Motivate Me" is just as it sounds, Motivating me one pound at a time! With every pound I lose, I've written down things or "Gifts" that correlate with each pound. My 100 pound(Goal weight of 150lbs) "Gift" will be to start the process of having another child and because its my 100 pounds lost goal, I thought it only appropriate to go on a Cruise! I realize that it is going to take a long time but we all got to start somewhere! So I ask you, Family and Friends, please sign up for whatever weight goal you think I can or cant reach, than, sponsor me with something I can look forward to. It can be anything, a hand-written note, a Skype session, a painted picture, a music playlist, a girls night out, a phone call, a text, ANYTHING!! It doesn't have to cost anything, I just want to know I have the love of my Family and Friends supporting me through my journey of becoming healthier.

I really appreciate you taking the time to read and go through this Blog as I start my journey. If you have any tips or ideas on how I can continue to stay healthy throughout this process, please dont hesitate to leave comments down below, e-mail me at jenae.corbeil@yahoo.com or even Facebook me. Down below is also the List of each pound and who is sponsoring me(you can also remain anonymous if you want) with each "Gift." Thanks again for reading and supporting me,  I love you all and I look forward to this next phase of my life and having you travel with me!

Couponing

A lot of people have been asking me about how I coupon and get things for free. There are two main ways to which I coupon, the First way is online couponing and sampling and the Second way is the good old fashion Cutting Coupons. I guarantee you will not only save money, but also you will be more organized with your food storage.

                               Online Couponing and Sampling

The First thing you want to do when you start to do online couponing is to make sure you make a junk e-mail. You do this for several reasons...
                             1. You will be receiving several e-mails a day from different companies sending you notifications of new opportunities for free samples or coupons. So you'll want one specific e-mail for couponing.
                             2. It keeps you protected! If you make a mistake and accidentily add a website that you thought was going to give you stuff for free but it didnt end up giving you it. It will keep you from receiving spam. I use yahoo for my couponing e-mail, its not only free but it separates junk mail all by itself.
                             3. I also use this e-mail for Perks Rewards Cards, Kroger, Meijer, Toys-R-Us, K-mart, Ace, American Eagle, Target, Kohl's, Kellogg's, ect. Sometimes those e-mails can be really annoying so they are easier for me to put them on my junk e-mail so I can quickly delete them since I check my junk e-mail several times a day.

The second thing to remember when couponing online is that if its too good to be true most likely it is. Im not going to go to much into being safe on the internet because most of it is self explanatory. Some sites phish for your information. They will say "we will give you a $500.00 gift Card to whatever store you most frequent on the internet,"(they use cookies to track where you have been on the internet), "just give us your Information AND sign up for one of these," one of the options for you to sign up requires you to sign up for a monthly club. They may not charge you for that first month but any other month after you must make a monthly payment. So they ask for your personal banking information etc. The best thing to do is to stay away from these types of things.

Thirdly is DO NOT OPEN AN E-MAIL IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT ITS FROM!!!! Going back to if you were going out to research freebies and accidentily add something that was phishing for your information and they sent you an e-mail. Dont open it because they are seeing if that e-mail is actually a true e-mail. From there they will SELL your e-mail address to other companies and your e-mail can quickly be overwhelmed with e-mails from spamers and people wanting you to send them $10,000 to a Foreign Country so they can send you 10-million dollars. If your not comfortable DONT SIGN UP!

The Fourth thing to remember is if it asks you to download something be cautious! The freebies and samples should not require you to download anything!

When you sign up for freebies or product samples it will ask you a couple things...
                                          1. Name
                                          2. E-mail
                                          3. Address (they need to have this so they know where to send stuff to)
                                          4. They may ask for your phone number. Give them a landline phone like your home phone number. Its easier to change your home phone number than your cell phone number. In the whole time I've done online couponing no one has actually called me.
                                          5. Your birthday
                                          6. Sometimes the freebie websites will have box for you to check if you want to receive newsletters about upcoming coupons/rewards/etc. If you dont want to receive extra e-mails un-check the box before you send for your samples.

Here are Two sites that are reliable and both have sent me samples and coupons absolutely free. They may ask you to register but you may be able to get the freebies without registering. If not, its not a big deal.

                                                   1.  http://www.gofreebies.com/
                                                   2.  http://www.freeflys.com/MoreFreeSamples

There is another website that I have received things absolutely free, just to name a few things like a Playtex Bra, Quaker Oatmeal, Medicine, Bed Head Hair Products, Kroger Private Selection Cakes, etc. Send me your e-mail and I will send you an invitation so you can earn great deals absolutely free.

                             Old Fashioned Cutting Coupons

This process is the main way I coupon. Something you need to remember when couponing is that it takes time. Time gathering coupons, time clipping coupons, time organizing coupons, but time is money and saving money takes a little time. I have Family and Friends that gather coupons for me and I usually pick them up and go through them on Sunday's or Monday's. Here are some tips to remember when couponing...

                                                 1. ASK EVERYONE to save their sunday coupon inserts.
                                                 2. Order Thursday/Sunday Coupons option instead of the daily Newspaper option. It not only saves you money but ensures you to those coveted Black Friday Deals. If you dont have money to order the newspaper refer to tip 1. lol
                                                 3. Couponing is messy so do it at night when you can lay papers out and not have little ones taking your coupons and eating them lol.

                                                 4. Familiarize yourself with your favorite stores Coupon Policy. Some Stores do not take manufacturer coupons and Other stores take coupons that are specified coupons from other stores. Unfortunately as of March 1st of 2013 Kroger's Coupon Policy has changed. They no longer double coupons up to a dollar. And that change has made a big influence of getting products for free or relatively free. Its also good to have a copy of your stores coupon policy with you because sometimes employees are not familiarized with their own stores coupon policies. So if you have it handy there's no really disputing it.
                                                 5. Hit up your stores Clearance Shelf. They have a lot of great markdowns which will give you better deals to use with your coupons.
                                                 6. If you miss a great deal, don't worry. Stores rotate their sales and so do the product suppliers who give you coupons.
                                                 7. Get a binder and either clear business card insert pages or baseball card clear pages to organize your clippings. I organize my binder into about 14 categories  You can organize yours however you like, but this is the way I do mine and what works best for me...BABY, BAKING, BEAUTY, BREAKFAST, DAIRY, DENTAL, FREEZER, MEDS, PAPER/SMELL GOODS, PETS, TOILETRIES, SHAVING, SOUP/SAUCE/PASTA, SNACKS. These are pretty self explanatory but I clip the coupons then put each items into their own business card inserts. Its easier to show than to explain so here are some pictures.

                                              8. Couponing is pretty easy and uses simple math. I recommend putting a pad of paper in your binder so you can write down the sale price of an item and then the price after your coupon so when you get up to that checkout line you know exactly how much you need to pay.
                                              9. If you have a buy one get one free coupon and you have a regular coupon for one product you can use both. For example, you have a Buy one Shaver get the second Shaver free but you also have a $4.00 off one shaver coupon. The shavers are usually $8.99 but you find it in the clearance isle for $3.99. You can use both your $4.00 off coupon and your buy one get one coupon. you bought one for $3.99 and used your $4.00 off coupon and then you get one free. Therefore walking out with 2 FREE SHAVERS!!!!!
                                              10. If there is a good deal on items you have coupons for but the store doesn't have enough products on the shelf for how many coupons you have you can ask them for a rain check. The rain check locks in the sale price and ensures you the correct amount for how many coupons you have. For example, you have 10 coupons for ranch salad dressing but they only have 6 on the shelf. You can go up to the customer service desk and ask them for 4 rain checks for the ranch salad dressing to lock in that sale price and if your coupon will expire before they get the ranch product in they can either adjust the price or have it written down that they will honor those coupons.
                                              11. Depending on the stores sometimes those expired coupons will be honored up to 2 weeks. you could also talk to the stores manager and 9 times out of 10 they will honor it.

These are just some tips I've learned along the way. I'm not perfect with my process in couponing but I've done pretty well in gathering up a pretty good supply of food storage. Here are some pictures of some of the freebies I've gotten and great shopping trips.

This kit I got completely free. send me your e-mail and ill tell you how you can receive more things for free
